I also can't get it into DFU mode but was able to restore it but I don't have my passcode and I need an IMEI number to be able to unlock my passcode which I also forgot
I know you call me stupid inside but that's weird right it says swipe up to recover on a white blank screen!!!!!

- iPhone 6 asks for 6-digit passcode after full resetI bought a new iPhone and was planning to keep my old iPhone 6 as an emergency backup. I did a full factory reset over a month ago and today I got it out to turn it on and make sure it's still working, which I do every few months. The hello screen came up and when I pressed home I got a semi-dithered passcode request screen for a 6 digit code. I entered the ONLY 6 digit code I've ever used and ended up getting banned for a minute. Based on previous posts, it looks like this issue has been around since at least 2016. Any updates?
